Redwing. Turdus iliacus. Red junipers are a small species of juniper with a distinctive facial pattern that lives in groups. Length: 20-24cm, Wingspan: 33-35cm, Weight: 50-75gr. They breed in forests and scrubland. They are seen in fields and gardens in winter. Although not a garden bird, they can be seen in large gardens in cold weather. They prefer conifers, birch forests and tundra forests.
