This lobelia has spires of colorful hood-like flowers that sit on stately spikes in late summer and fall. This is considered a marginal so it likes Prefers Wet Soil. It will naturalize along the edges of your pond or stream. Butterflies and hummingbirds like them too! ‘Elm Fire’ has deep beet root red leaves and incredibly vivid red flowers in mid to late summer. This is a stunning vertical accent plant in terms of both foliage and flower. This garden selection can be used as a marginal in ponds but also does very well in average garden soils.
