Since Donald Trump has reclaimed the presidency and illegally appointed Elon Musk to the head of his newly created Department of Government Efficiency, what is now called DOGE, this has caused a great deal of outrage across the country. Whenever a president appoints someone to a cabinet level position, they must go through a Senate Confirmation Hearing to see if they are qualified. By creating this noncabinet position, he is bypassing the whole senate confirmation hearing process, Musk and Trump have found many thousands of federal workers and whole agencies from all across the country to be fired and cut, jobs and agencies vital to people not just all across the country but all around the whole world, like the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. As the head of the all electric car company Tesla, Musk himself, the worlds wealthiest man, and this one company alone has received, by the best of estimates, at least 38 Billion dollars in special government assistance, from all levels of government, from federal to local. Many hundreds came out to this now weekly event held all across the country held at Tesla dealerships and manufacturing plants. This recent one held in San Francisco was so important, both former President Abraham Lincoln and Lady Liberty were there, as was a piñata filled with coffee candy, in the shape of Teslas Cybertruck SUV, people used loud speakers and musical instruments to be as loud, but peaceful as possible. With all of these protesters, there were only two counter protesters, in red MEGA hats, interviewing some of the protesters, on tape, but they were there only briefly. As witness 15 March 2025.
