Neon sign hanging overhead from a parking garage points to Printers' Alley in Nashville, Tennesse. This historic district was once home to Nashville's printing industry. A number of hotels, restaurants, and saloons, opened to serve the people working in the district. Many of these became speakeasies during Prohibition. In th 1940s, nightclubs started opening and the district hosted many performers. |
