| Naked lady, called so because it`s `naked` of leaves, is one of the most cold hardy. Other common names: Surprise Lilies, Magic Lilies, and Resurrection Lilies. The flowers are pink with blue tips and a yellow throat, have six petals unequally spaced around the flower with a noticeable gap between the bottom two petals; six stamens held closely to the pistil; one central pistil curves down then up, dark pink in color. Flowers bloom at the tops of straight stems. Blooms in late summer. Family Amaryllidaceae, Genus Lycoris, Species L. Squamigera. |
