The Mushroom Coral Pipefish (Siokunichthys nigrolineatus) is a small pipefish species that belongs the fish family Syngnathidae which includes ââ¬ËSeahorses, Seadragons, Pipefish and Pipehorsesââ¬â¢. There are on 5 small species known to occur in the genus Siokunichthys. This species can be found occurring in the warm tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region and it is known to occur from Southern Indonesia and Papua New Guinea to the Philippines. This species can be found living amongst the tentacles of mushroom corals such as Heliofungia.
