The mural features the Jesuit missionary who succeeded Father Ignacio Maria Napoli at the Mission of Santiago de Los Coras. He was martyred when the native Pericue revolted, killing him and ransacking the mission. The mission and and one of the native Pericue are also pictured in the mural. No artist is identified.
