The leaves form large, dramatic rosettes of erect young leaves and increasingly reflexed older leaves. Common yucca, adam`s needle, lord`s candle, joshua tree, sierra madre yucca, mountain yucca, bear-grass, needle-palm, silk-grass, spanish bayonet, spoon-leaf yucca, dagger plant or soco yucca. Yucca is a plant of the agave family with stiff swordlike leaves and spikes of white bell-shaped flowers.
