The MSC Opera is a Lirica-class cruise ship built in 2004 and currently operated by MSC Crociere. The ship served as the company's flagship until the MSC Musica entered service in 2006. It can accommodate a total of 2,055 passengers in 856 cabins, and a crew of approximately 740.Like the MSC Lirica, it is a Mistral-class cruise ship, although it has a number of minor exterior and interior differences from its sister ships, MSC Armonia and MSC Sinfonia. The exterior differences are the finish of the ship's curved aft and the shape of the funnel the interior differences are the layout of the salons.
