The Popa Taungkalat (Taung Kalat) Shrine, home to 37 Mahagiri Nats, or spirits. Mount Popa is an extinct volcano 1518 metres (4981 feet) above sea level, located in central Burma (Myanmar) in the Pegu Range. Mount Popa is best known for the picturesque Popa Taungkalat monastery atop the outcrop. |
