| Mount Gede Pangrango National Park is one of the national parks located in West Java Province. Established in 1980, this national park is one of the oldest in Indonesia. Mount Gede Pangrango National Park was primarily established to protect and conserve the beautiful mountain ecosystem and flora in West Java. With an area of 24,270.80 hectares, its area mainly covers two mountain peaks, Gede and Pangrango, along with the surrounding mountain forest cover. As the name suggests, this national park has two twin peaks, namely Gede peak (2,958 m above sea level) and Pangrango peak (3,019 m above sea level). The two peaks are connected by a saddle-like mountain ridge at an altitude of approx. 2,400 m above sea level, known as the Kandang Badak area |
