Alcalàde Xivert is located within the Baix Maestrat, to the north of the province of Castelló, in Valencia region. Its medieval castle was erected by the Moors in the Serra dââ¬â¢Irta at some time between late 11th to early 12th centuries. It belonged later to the Knights Templar order, during which time the castleââ¬â¢s structure was modified. Some of its most remarkable aspects are its stonemasonry walls and twin circular towers. |
