Since its opening in 2019, it has become a new landmark in Chongqing with its favorable geographical location and unique architectural design. Raffles City Chongqing is a 1.12 million-square-meter urban landmark complex developed by CapitaLand, with an investment of over 24 billion yuan. It was designed by the internationally renowned architect Safdie and is Singapore`s largest investment project in China. Raffles City Chongqing consists of 8 towers, 5-storey commercial buildings and a sky-spanning corridor. It is an urban complex integrating high-end residences, office buildings, shopping centers, serviced apartments, hotels, and catering clubs. It integrates various public transportation facilities of land and water transportation, and sets up underground parking lots, subway stations, bus transfer stations, docks and visitor centers. On November 18, 2020, it was elected as one of the `Top Ten New Landmarks of Cultural Tourism in Chengdu and Chongqing`. On May 21, 2021, Raffles City Chongqing won three awards: `Best High-rise Building 300-399m`, `Fire and Risk Engineering Award` and `Structural Engineering Award`.
