Monochoria korsakowii is an upright aquatic herbaceous plant belonging to the Rain flower family and the Rain flower genus. The whole plant is hairless, with thick rhizomes and soft fibrous roots The basal leaves are broadly ovate heart-shaped, with a sharp or gradually pointed tip and numerous arc-shaped veins The petiole sometimes swells into a sac like shape, while the petiole of the stem grows shorter and the base increases into a sheath The inflorescence grows at the top in a raceme, sometimes converging into a cone-shaped inflorescence. The corolla is elliptical in shape, the anthers are oblong in shape, light blue in color, and the rest are smaller in size. The filaments are filamentous The capsule is oval in shape The seed is oblong with longitudinal edges. The flowering period is from July to August, and the fruiting period is from September to October.
