One of the most emblematic, characteristic and ancient streets in the village of Estany in northeastern Catalonia. During the earthquake in 1448 the monastery of Saint Mary was badly damaged and the abbot was forced to sell the homes of Monjos street belonging to the church to afford the reconstruction of the monastery buildings.
