Sub Piatra is a village in Salciua commune, Alba county, Transylvania, Romania. It is located on the Huda lui Papara River (also called Valea Morilor) from its discharge into the Aries river, up to the spring at the mouth of the Huda lui Papara cave. The commune is located the ethnogeographical region of Tara Motilor, in the middle of the Apuseni Mountains, in the north of Alba County. Lying on the banks of the Aries River, in between the Trascau Mountains and Muntele Mare, Salciua has a specific mountain landscape developed on limestone and crystalline schists.
