Mimosa ( Mimosa pudica Linn.), Legume perennial herb or subshrub, flowers are white, pink, calyx bell, shaped like pompon. Its purple or pink flower ball is not actually a flower, but an inflorescence formed by many small flowers. If you carefully separate each small unit on the ball, you can see that each small unit has four split petals, four long stamens and a pistil, and the small unit is one of its flowers. After the flowers of mimosa, most of the flowers will form a pod, so we see mimosa fruit is also dense ball. Each pod has three to four segments and has a hairy surface.
