This was shot at 7th Chandigarh National Crafts Mela, Kakagram, Chandigarh, India. This is a folk dance of Manipur state, India. Lai Haraoba is the earliest form of dance which forms the basis of all stylised dances in Manipur. Literally meaning - the merrymaking of the gods, it is performed as a ceremonial offering of song and dance. The festival is a celebration of the evolution of plants, animals and human beings which were enacted by the deities.
