The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II was a two-seat, twin-engine, all-weather, long-range supersonic jet interceptor fighter/fighter-bomber which was developed for the United States Navy by McDonnell Aircraft. The Phantom entered service in the 60's with the Navy. The Phantom proved highly adaptable and was later adopted by the Marine Corps and the Air Force. This plane now resides at the National Air and Space Museum Dullas Airport, Washington DC.
