| Mccaig`s Tower, Scotland, UK, also known as McCaig`s Folly, is a prominent tower on Battery Hill overlooking the town of Oban in Argyll. Built in by local banker John Stuart McCaig between 1897 and 1900, this tower is copy of the Colosseum in Rome. Tower was to provide work for local stonemasons and a lasting monument to the McCaig family. |
