Completed in 1887 this fountain took over the mayorship well's rate of supplying water to the local population
The fountain has four spouts made from the smelting of one of the bells of the Mother Church which dated back to 1837
On its facade there is a coat of arms bearing the arms of Portugal which was taken from the old fountain to be found at "Largo das Bicas Novas, now called "Largo Dr Bernardo Lopes |
