| Mast detail of old vessel Barque Mircea. Mircea is the school vessel of the Romanian Military Maritime Academy of Constanta, Romania. The Mircea is a three masted barque, built in 1938 in Hamburg by the Blohm & Voss shipyard. The ship is named after the Wallachian Prince Mircea the Elder. Marasesti served as the flagship of the navy between 1985 and 2004, when Regele Ferdinand (formerly HMS Coventry) became the new flagship. She is the largest warship of the Romanian Navy ever built in Romania. |
