| Danish comedian, pianist, conductor, concert performer and television personality Victor Borge entertains at the Chicago Theater in Chicago, Illinois on February 11, 1982. He is joined by comic foil and contralto soprano, Marylyn Mulvey as they enact his famous `Hands Off` Routine. Borge made fun of the Nazis during his public performances and escaped Scandinavia for the United States. He learned English by patronizing movie houses and was a well-known entertainer in the United States in just a few years. Known as the `Unmelancholy Dane,` he gained success on Broadway in 1953 with his act, `Comedy in Music,` a 2-week engagement which lasted 3 years. Even at the age of 90 he had dozens of engagements each year. Borge died on December 23, 2000 at the age of 91. |
