| The Parish Church in the summer resort of Marsaxlokk was built in 1897 and is dedicated to our Lady of Pompei. The parish in Marsaxlokk is today the venue of a national pilgrimage every year on the 8th May. Marsaxlokk pronounced Mar - sa - shlock is a small picturesque village in the south eastern coast of Malta. It has a population of c.a. 3,000 people and is referred to as the `fishing village |
