| Little Italy or in English Little Italy is an American neighborhood located in Manhattan, New York, so called because it was originally populated by a large number of Italian immigrants. It is bordered to the west by Tribeca and Soho, to the south by Chinatown, to the east with the Bowery and the Lower East Side, and to the north with Nolita. Currently the only area that can still be recognized as "Little Italy" is the section of Mulberry Street between Broome and Canal, which is full of Italian restaurants whose customers are mostly tourists. |
