The small village of St Margarets hope, on the island of south Ronaldsay. This coastal hamlet has a population of about 550, and is connected to the Orkney mainland, by the Churchill barriers. Pentland ferries operate between the Scottish mainland (Gills bay) and here, to the ferry terminal. The famous Scottish poet, George Mackay Brown, frequented these coastal streets. |
