Xinyang Maojian is also called Yu Mao Feng, which belongs to green tea. It is one of the ten famous tea in China and one of the famous products in Henan province. The main producing areas are in Xinyang the Shihe River district formerly Xinyang, Pingqiao district formerly Xinyang county and Luoshan county. It is created by the Han tea farmers. In the early years of the Republic of China, the five tea clubs in Xinyang Tea District produced the best quality Maojian tea, which was officially named `Xinyang Maojian`.
