Mangal Shobhajatra of Fine Arts Faculty of Dhaka University held on today morning Pohela Boishakh 1431. Pahela Baishakh meaning is Bangla Happy New year. Mangal Shobhajatra on Pahela Baishakh, the largest secular festival close to the hearts of Bangalees, got inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016. It is a vibrant and colourful procession in which tens of thousands of people from all walks of life join freely and spontaneously as part of their celebration of the Bangla New Year, Dhaka, Bangladesh on April 14, 2024.
