The Piaggio Ape (bee in Italian is a motor scooter from the Italian manufacturer Piaggio. The first Ape was built in 1948. The vehicle can adopt various configurations, such as van, box and passenger transport Due to their small dimensions, these vehicles are highly recommended for urban delivery thanks to their low maintenance cost and maneuverability.The first Ape were basically Vespas with 125cc, 150cc or 175cc engines to which a double rear axle was added and a loading platform on top of it. Over time their features were improved by adding a cockpit for the driver.
