| The Loveland Pass Elevation 11,990 feet Continental Divide Sign located at the top of Loveland Pass in Colorado. It is a high pass located in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado next to Interstate-70 behind Loveland Ski Area and by Arapahoe Basin. It was the original way over the Great Divide. The sign is set on a rock base. The background is of sharp peaks and mountains covered in snow. The continental-divide is the principal divide of North America, dividing watersheds that flow into the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Loveland Pass Road, which is now along US Highway Route 6 with steep grades and ever changing weather conditions.
