Lorch am Rhein is a small town in the Rheingau, close to the Taunus mountains. The political district is called Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis. Through the town the river Wisper leads to the Rhine. The old town had several half-timbered beautiful houses in different colors. Parts of the city walls and towers remained.
