Longwy, France, November 3, 2022 Work to discover the Chiers river, over 165 meters, has begun to avoid flooding.The Parc des Récollets will soon be bordered by the river again, as well as the adjoining car park. Developments made necessary due to the aging of the structure covering the Chiers, to prevent the risk of flooding. This work is carried out by the Agglomeration of Grand Longwy, which has expertise in the management of aquatic environments and flood prevention (Gemapi). The cost is 10 million Euros
