Breeding inhabitant of all zones in gardens, cultivations, and scrublands. It stays away from dense woodlands. Magpie of the Orient Robins eat insects primarily and hop on the ground alone or in couples. However, vegetables such as rice, bread, and other things thrown out of houses are also taken. It is active even after dusk, and the male's territorial call, often spoken from the top of a tall tree or a lamppost, can be heard again before morning. Male-on-male brawls occur from time to time. The nest is a pile of grasses in a tree hole, and the main breeding season is from March to September.
