Little Bittern Ixobrychus minutus. It is a small heron. It is usually seen flying low and fast over reeds it extends its legs back while flying. It can also be seen in open places or perching on a tree in open places. It nests in reeds and bushes. It lives in densely vegetated marshes and near freshwater. Its behavior is similar to the bittern, but it is more keen on stealth. In case of danger, it tries to move away slowly among the reeds, in the meantime it grasps the vertical stems with its feet and swings from reed to reed like a master acrobat. It often hides, climbing the reeds like a giant reed warbler.
