| The Lined Leaf-tailed gecko (Uroplatus lineatus) is one of the largest members of the family reaching up to 30 cm 11 ". Their bodies are long and slender with a smooth skin. Patterns change from solid beige or yellowish during the day and wood grain striped at night. They very much resemble the bamboo plants they inhabit. This is a nocturnal species that eats snails,roaches and whatever else they might find. As everything else on Madagascar they are endangered by the continues pressure from deforestation. |
