Pictured is one of a seven car fleet of beautifully restored vintage streetcars owned and operated by the McKinney Avenue Transit Authority MATA. It is car 7169 named Emma. It was built in the United States in 1949 and operated in Johnston Pennsylvania until 1960 when she was sold to Brussels, Belgium. In 2012 the MATA purchased Emma and she was loaded aboard a freighter and repatriated to the United States, arriving late fall of 2012. Emma helps the MATA provide over half a million free rides per year in Dallas vibrant Uptown Neighborhood.
