Arctium minus, or lesser burdock, is traditionally used in herbal medicine for its blood-purifying, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antifungal properties, to treat skin conditions like acne and eczema, and to help eliminate heavy metals from the body. The roots and young shoots are edible, while the leaves can be poulticed onto wounds, burns, and sores. In some traditions, the plant has also been used for digestive issues, to stimulate sweating, and against snake and scorpion bites. |
