From the little harbor of Doran's Point at Ballycroy the crossing can be made by ferry service by arrangement with Michael Leneghan, with his traditional Currach. Innishbiggle is located between Achill Island and the mainland and measures 1.5 km by 2.5 km. It is only inhabited by 18 people, mostly elderly people. The island is also accessible from Achill Island.
