| This is an early winter picture of the historic LaPorte County Courthouse located in LaPorte, Indiana in LaPorte County. This four story Lake Superior Red Sandstone, it features a central four sided clocktower, it is an example of Richardson Romanesque architecture, it was designed by Brentwood S. Tolan, and it was constructed 1892-1894. This courthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 15, 1983. This picture was taken on December 5, 2019. |
