About her posture, llamas signal her mood. When the ears are put up and the tail hangs down, the llama is doing well and it`s relaxed. If the tail goes up, this is an expression of increased attention and tension. If the ears are placed backwards and the tail below, the Lama signals that it subordinates itself to the more senior Lama or man who leads it. When the ears are laid out and the tail stands tall, the llama does not feel comfortable. If gurgling noises become audible, caution is required. If the ears are laid out for longer and another llama is too close, it can actually spew a warning shot with a high allocated nose, which occurs quite regularly between the animals.
