| Lagoa Funda also Caldeira Funda is a crater lake in the central mountain country in the southwest of the island Flores, which belongs to the circle Lajes das Flores.The lake is located in the Reserva Natural Reserve the Caldeira Funda e Rasa. It is part of the Sete Lagoas or Seven Lakes which are all located in the highlands of Flores and formed in volcanic craters. The lake is 22 meters deep and about 35 hectares in size. It lies at an altitude of about 400 m and is fed by other tributaries through the waterfall of the Ribeira Funda. The area is characterized by lush vegetation with the remains of Laurisilva.
