Laburnum spp., or golden chain tree) is a small deciduous tree or large shrub prized for its cascading clusters of bright yellow flowers in late spring. It has trifoliate green leaves and produces long, pendulous racemes that create a striking display. Native to southern Europe, it is often planted in gardens, parks, and along paths. All parts of the tree are toxic if ingested, but it is valued purely for ornamental beauty
