| Kurzy Targ - a short (about 75 meters) street connecting the Wroc?aw Market Square with ul. Szewska. Its beginning is in the middle of the eastern frontage of the Market Square is the shortest way to St. Mary Magdalene.Until the end of the 18th century, the name Kurzy Targ was used, later giving way to the similar-sounding name Tylny Targ in German.The southern frontage of this street was demolished at the beginning of the 20th century in connection with the construction of the Barasch Brothers Department Store. In the northern frontage, medieval tenement houses have survived to this day, including the House of the Silesian Apothecary, where the Museum of Pharmacy was opened in November 2011. |
