| JYunnan Yuantong Temple is located in Yuantong Street, Kunming City, Yunnan Province, China. It is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Kunming and has a history of more than 1,200 years. At the same time, it is also the largest temple in Kunming. It was built in the era of Nanzhao in the Tang Dynasty and was originally named Tuoluo Temple. In the five years of the Yuan Dynasty DadeAD 1301, the Yuantong Temple was built, and the Yuan Dynasty emperor `gave the book to Jia.` The expansion project lasted 18 years and was not completed until Yuan Yanyou six yearsAD 1319. During the Ming Dynasty, the Yuantong Temple was expanded and the top of the mountain was newly built. During the Qing Dynasty, it was also rebuilt several times. |
