| Krka National Park, located in central Dalmatia, near the town of Ã
 ibenik. The park was founded in 1985 in the middle and lower reaches of the Krka River. In the park, the river creates waterfalls including RoÃ
¡ki Slap and Skradinski Buk, cascades and rapids. In the central part of the park there is Lake Visovac, on the island in the middle of which there is a Franciscan monastery, founded in 1445. In the southern part of the park there are water mills from the 19th century and the remains of a hydroelectric power plant started in 1895, which was one of the first such structures in the world |
