Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher of the United Kingdom, and husband Denis Thatcher peruse a gift from longtime Jerusalem mayor Teddy Kollek at her suite in the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, Israel on May 25, 1986. The gift was historian Barbara Tuchman`s book, `Bible and Sword.` All three are long deceased. Thatcher`s visit was notable because it was the first visit to Israel by a standing prime minister of the United Kingdom.
