Kobern-Gondorf is a double village formed by Kobern and Gondorf in Mosel valley. Both villages have their castles. The characteristic medieval architecture is visible all around the village. The Niederburg is located on the hill on the lower side of the Mosel, Schloss Liebig is in the middle, and Schloss von der Leyen with the Oberburg is located in the valley on the upper river direction. The winemaking village is surrounded by vineyards on the hills and has a huge wine tradition.
