Entitled Unconditional Surrender, this 25 foot, 6000 pound statue by noted artist J. Seward Johnson, commemorates the famous The Kiss photograph by Alfred Eisenstaedt made during the VJ celebration in Times Square in 1945, at the end of World War II. The statue is located next to the USS Midway Museum in downtown San Diego, and previously displayed in New York City and in Sarasota, Florida.
