| This nearly 200-year-old church was originally built in honor of the Holy Ghost, but ultimately it was named after St. Teresa of Avila. It stands on the corner of Király Street and NagymezÃ
â Street. A number of renowned architects took part in the construction of this beautiful monumental church. For example, the tower was designed by Miklós Ybl who was one of Europe`s leading architects, and whose most famous work is the Hungarian State Opera House in Budapest. |
