The archaeological site of Cumae - the first of the settlements in the West Greek, founded at the expense of local populations Osco-Samnite in the second half of the eighth century BC by Euboeans-Calcidesi who settled previously nell'emporion of Pithekoussai (later Aenaria the island of Ischia) - are currently visited the Acropolis with the Temples of Apollo and Jupiter, the first of which dates back to the Greek system, and the so-called Sybil's Cave, referring to the tradition of the cult of Apollo oracle but almost certainly built for defensive purposes.
